Rizqi Ahmad Fauzan

QA engineer and test automation builder.

10+ years across banking, fintech, e-commerce and SaaS.

Scenario:

Working with me

Given

a product your users rely on every day

When

I join your QA team

Then

regressions get caught on every pull request

And

release day gets boring

1 scenario (1 passed) 4 steps (4 passed) 0m02.290s

Open to remote QA and test automation roles. Working from Magelang, Indonesia (UTC+7).

Coverage I’ve raised

Automation coverage when I picked up the work, and where it stood once I had built it out.

Area Coverage scale from 0 to 100 percent Before, after
Loyalty service APICATA, in one week 0% 80%
Mobile app, with MaestroCATA 0% 50%
Lending system APIMoladin 70% 95%
Lending system, end to endMoladin, in three months 0% 33%

At CATA the team also wrote 50% more test cases, in about a third of the time, once we could draft them with AI through the MCP server I built.

Experience

Six product teams since 2015, from core banking to SaaS, plus the QA bootcamp I mentor for.

  1. – now

    CATA

    QA Engineer

Multi-merchant SaaS for food and beverage brands

    • Sole QA engineer in the Growth squad, within a QA team of four.
    • Took loyalty-service API automation from 0% to 80% coverage in one week with Playwright.
    • Started mobile automation with Maestro, reaching 50% coverage, and coached two QA engineers to maintain their own tests.
    • Review PRDs with product managers before development starts, which has cut potential defects by around 20%. Every suite runs on each pull request and again every night.

Tools I’ve built

When the tools slow a QA team down, I build better ones.

In use by the QA team at CATA

Cata QA TMS

A test case management system that replaced our spreadsheets. Test cases, runs, results and the Jira tickets they cover live in one place.

  • Keyboard-first execution: P, F, B and S record a result; J and K move to the next case.
  • Coverage for every Jira ticket, and run summaries posted back to Jira as comments.
  • A “Fail, no bug” tab, so no failure reaches sign-off without a ticket.
  • Its own MCP server, so AI assistants can read and update test cases.

Next.js 15, PostgreSQL on Neon, Tailwind CSS, MCP

Open source

MCP server for Testsigma

Connects Claude to Testsigma’s test management API. The team talks a feature through with AI, then saves the agreed test cases straight into Testsigma.

  • 25+ tools for test cases, folders, test plans and runs.
  • Every QA connects with a personal API key, so each change stays traceable.
  • At CATA: 50% more test cases, written in about a third of the time.

TypeScript, MCP SDK, Vercel

In development

Device farm

A self-hosted farm of real Android phones. Run a Maestro flow on many phones at once, or open one phone in the browser for a manual session.

  • Device status, the run queue and the 24-hour pass rate on one screen.
  • Automation runs: pick a flow, pick the devices, split the work and schedule it.
  • Manual sessions on real hardware, straight from the browser.

Maestro, Android, web dashboard

Runs twice a day

Assignment review bot

Checks the bootcamp’s review queue every morning and afternoon, then sends me the unreviewed assignments on WhatsApp. It is how I keep the 24-hour review promise.

Playwright, GitHub Actions, WAHA

Training material

AI-assisted test case workshop

Hands-on training that teaches QA engineers to treat AI output as a draft. Nine cases, from a prompt with no context to turning an Excel requirement into test cases and automation.

Markdown exercises, Python helpers

Teaching QA

Part-time mentor at JayJay Edukasi’s QA bootcamp since November 2024.

I take students from their first test case to a Java automation framework that runs in GitHub Actions, with SQL, API testing and Git along the way.

Feedback within a day
Every assignment is reviewed within 24 hours, usually in under 12. A small bot tells me what is waiting.
The QA Professional Playbook
The homework guide students work from: what each module asks, why it matters and what a good answer looks like, through to the final project.
Live sessions
From Java live-coding to designing test cases with AI.

I also write about QA on LinkedIn, where 4K+ people follow along.
